5-17-06: Bekaesh moving to wiki
Bikaesh is now moving to a wiki site, hosted by PBWiki! This will make it easier for our writers to contribute information and for users to find the information they need. The wiki is at www.bikaesh.pbwiki.com. There is also a wiki page for discussion, linked to on the wiki page. This site will be no longer updated and all information will be eventually moved to that site. In the meantime we are in transistion between the two sites and there will be
information missing from the new site until it is upated.

Map of the nation of Saltha
NOTICE: This site is no longer being updated. Please go to our wiki page at www.bikaesh.pbwiki.com.
Welcome! The Bikaesh foundation is a non-profit orginization
who's goal is to help build a bridge of understanding between the human and Salthan racs. We are
supported by the colalition of universities and private orginizations including Central university of Saltha, Naska University
and the Micheal Rubour foundation. (Please see "About" for a list of all our supporters)
The name "bikaesh" comes from two words in Salthan, "Bika" is a simple greeting and "Esh" means "Friend."
This site is a complete historical, cultural and geographical guide to help both prospective travelers
and those simply curious about Saltha and it's people.
On the surface, the Salthan people and their culture may
seem very strange to humans. But Salthans, despite what the terrible centuries of bigotry
against them by understanding people had many believing, the Salthans are living, thinking
and feeling beings just like you or me. I'm hoping eventually the years of prejudice
against this interesting people will be brushed away, and people can learn to fully
understand and experience their wonderful culture, despite their physical differences. I'm
assuming since you're here, you have at least some interest in the Salthan people, or are
planning top travel there in the near future. I'm glad you're interested!
If you plan to travel here, it's important to not
become a slave to tours and the normal flow of tourist traffic. To really experience the
culture and life, and get the maximum enjoyment out of it, you must be willing to open all
of your senses, and be willing to go off the beaten track. This is advice I've heard many
times from other guides, and I believe is sage advice for any tourist wanting to really
experience any culture. There are many things to do and see in Saltha, inside the great
walled cities and constructed landmarks like the temple of Santh in Ņaska to the natural beauties like the arches of God just to the west of the city
of Ten Terak and the clear sea view of the western coast. This site tries to cover every possible area with as much detail as possible in a massive encylopedia, So you can find for whatever information
you're looking for. This site may have areas with information that is less than
complete, but we hope you will bear with us as we add and orginize this site and
you enjoy this website as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
Thank you,
Kerro Shames
Director, Bikaesh Foundation
